Lab manager/Specialist
I share my time between the lab manager duties and research.I received my Ph.D from University Denis Diderot in Paris. My thesis work on penicillin-binding proteins in Leptospires, and development of genetic tools for these spirochetes was performed in the laboratory of Dr. Isabelle Saint Girons at the Pasteur Institute, Paris. As a post-doctoral fellow in the Caparon Lab at Washington University in Saint Louis, my work was aimed at understanding the mechanisms of resistance to oxidative stress in Streptococcus pyogenes . Then, I joined the Agabian Lab at UCSF to study the role of oxygenated lipids in the pathogenicity of the fungal pathogen Candida albicans.
