I am interested in the role of plasma kallikrein, a serine protease involved in the intrinsic coagulation pathway, as a putative plasminogen activator required for mammary gland involution. I am also studying the role of mast cells in mammary gland development. In both cases, I hope to shed light on the dynamics between the mammary stroma, inflammatory processes, and ECM proteases.
